許多時下年輕人喜歡用 What's up? 來打招呼，

意思就等同於 "Hi." ，"Hello." 或是 "How are you?"。

情境 1　和新朋友打招呼

　A: Hey, what's up?

　B: Hi.　

情境 2　和比較熟的親朋好友打招呼

　A: Hey, Jack, what's up?

　　嘿，傑克，在忙什麼？(在幹嘛？)

　B: Oh, not much. What's up with you?

　　喔，沒什麼特別的事。 那你呢？

※ 此用法非常口語，不適合在正式場合使用。
