turn off + something，表示「關掉」、「關閉」某物品的電源。
也可以將名詞放在 turn 和 off 的中間。
例如：
turn off the lights 關燈 = turn the lights off
turn off the TV 關電視 = turn the TV off
turn off the radio 關收音機 = turn the radio off
turn off the computer 關電腦 (關機) = turn the computer off
turn off the A/C 關冷氣 = turn the A/C off
turn off the heat 關暖氣 = turn the heat off
註：A/C 可表示 air conditioner (冷氣機) 或 air conditioning (空調)
反：turn on 打開(電器物品)電源
補充：關掉電燈，除了 "turn off" the lights 也可以說 "turn out" the lights"。
