使用情境一：

當對方的回答或說法不完全正確的時候，可以說 Not quite. 表示「不太對、不完全正確」。

使用情境二：

當對方問你準備好可以出門了沒，你若還沒好，可以說 Not quite. 表示「還沒完全準備好」。

"Is this box big enough?"

「這個盒子夠大嗎？」

"Not quite."

「不太夠。」

"There, we made it."

「好了，我們辦到了。」

"Not quite."

「還不完全。」

"Your toaster is as good as new, Hilda. --Well, maybe not quite."

「妳的烤土司機就跟新的一樣，Hilda。--那個，也許不完全。」

"Father Bear, are you almost ready to go fishing?"

「熊爸爸，你快準備好可以去釣魚了嗎？」

"Not quite. I still have to move that rock." 

「還沒喔，我還得移一下那塊石頭。」

"Teddy is hungry, Mommy."

「泰迪餓了，媽咪。」

"Rosie's hungry, too."

「蘿西也餓了。」

"It's not quite ready. You have to wait a few more minutes."

「還沒完全好喔，你們得再多等幾分鐘。」

"Are you all better now, Daddy?"

「你完全好了嗎，爸比？」

"Almost but not quite. Maybe tomorrow."

「差不多了，但還沒完全好。也許明天吧。」
