The saying "out of sight, out of mind" means that you don't think about things that are not to close to you - that you cannot see. "Sight" means the same here as to be able to see, or something that you see. So, if you can't see it, you don't think about it - you forget about it.

此諺語用來描述「只要某人事物不在視線範圍--不去看,就不會在心中掛念,就會忘了他/她/它的存在」,也有人也翻作「眼不見為淨」或「久別情疏」。
