blind (adj.) 瞎的；盲的
bat (n.) 蝙蝠
(as) blind as a bat 字面上的意思是「瞎得跟蝙蝠一樣」，因為蝙蝠的視力極差。因此形容一個人近視很深，或是有什麼原因導致看不清楚，簡直跟瞎了一樣，就可以說 Sb. is (as) blind as a bat. 第一個 "as" 可以省略。
A: Are those prescription glasses?
你的眼鏡有度數嗎？
B: Try them on and you'll find out.
你戴戴看就知道了。
A: Whoa! You're blind as a bat!
你簡直是瞎了嘛！
